Rotary Club of Hout Bay have selected Anna Khuzwayo, a local AIDS counsellor, to represent them on a climb up Africa's tallest mountain peak, Mount Kilimanjaro.
The climb has been organised by the Rotary Club of Coolamon Australia, with its main intention to raise funds for HIV/Aids projects in Africa. Locally funds will go towards supporting the Operation Medical Hope project which has so far raised and distributed more than R500 000 worth of medical supplies for local Hout Bay clinics. The Coolamon fund has also helped to support local school children. The climb is expected to generate funds in excess of R100 000.
Anna Khuzwayo with her natural enthusiasm and close community ties was the perfect choice to represent Hout Bay. Anna has been put on a daily training schedule thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Mind Body and Soul gym, in Beach Crescent in the Hout Bay Village.

Rotary Hout Bay are calling for the Hout Bay community to show their support, no matter how small, for Anna by taking up various sponsorship opportunities. We are particularly looking for anyone willing to donate necessary mountain climbing equipment or money required to pay for Anna's costs.
Here is a unique chance to be a part of something big!
